Joy Foundation is a non-profit development organization founded by a group of young people in March 2005 and officially registered in June 2009 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Foundation is also registered with the Punjab Charity Commission and holds an MOU with the Economic Affairs Division (EAD), Islamabad.
Joy Foundation operates independently, free from religious, political, or economic influence. The organization began its work by establishing a Community Center for Persons with Disabilities in the Toba Tek Singh District.
Over the years, the Foundation has expanded its activities to various development sectors. At present, Joy Foundation is actively engaged in supporting marginalized, neglected, and oppressed communities in both rural and urban areas of Toba Tek Singh and neighboring districts.
Its major initiatives include Women Empowerment, Education, Climate Change, Emergency Relief, Disability Empowerment, Peace and Youth Development, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), and Health. The dedicated staff works tirelessly at the grassroots level, striving to expand services across all focus areas to spread joy, hope, and peace in the community.
